Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

September is the month when students and teachers are getting fully integrated into the new school year, when the college football season kicks-off, and when we start thinking about connecting with our church family. One way to get to know more peo-ple and take your involvement to a higher level is to join a small group. We have over ten adult Bible studies that meet every Sunday morning from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. These studies will give you an opportunity to get to know a group of people, to have a team of people who will pray for you and support you and to study the Bible in a group setting with other people. Give one of these studies a try and take your connection to a deeper level. You will find a place where you can help others and others can help you.

September will mark the conclusion of our summer message series called “Heroes and Villains in the Bible.” We will conclude by looking into the lives of three more villains. Then we will switch gears and begin a new study on the Holy Spirit. The schedule for September is as follows:

  • September 2 Rehoboam (1 Kings 12:1-17)

  • September 9 Jezebel (1 Kings 16:29-31; 19:1-2)

  • September 16 Judas Iscariot (Luke 22:1-6)

  • September 23 Who Is The Holy Spirit?

  • September 30 The Holy Spirit Lives In Me

If you’re new to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, I would like to invite you to attend the Pastor’s Lunch. This will take place on Sunday, September 16 at 12:15 p.m. in Victory Hall. The Pastor’ Lunch gives you an opportunity to meet our ministe-rial staff, hear more about the church and ask any questions you may have about the church. There is also a delicious complimentary meal! You can sign-up on the clip-board at church or by calling the church office.

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
