Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

The month of May is marked by transition. Students are completing one grade and making a transition into the next grade or into a new school. Congratulations to our graduates who are saying “good-bye” to their place of learning and making a transition into the next phase of their life. Perhaps you are making a transition into a new job, a new relationship, a new home, a new level of health, or a new season of life.

A season of transition is a time when friends are so important. We need each other when life becomes uncertain and different. We need the security of the familiar when things begin to change left and right. We need a friend to lean on when too many things are new all at once.
This month I’ll be continuing the message series called “The Church Is About One Another.” The Bible describes the church as a place where people live in connection with one an-other. It’s a place where people can come and find real friends who will love and support them in their spiritual journey. When the church is functioning the way the Bible tells it to function, it’s the closest place to heaven that people can find on earth.

In the NT the phrase “one another” or “each other” can be found some 38 times. Each phrase represents a spiritual value that God wants us to live out and practice. This month we will examine several of those “one another” phrases:

May 6 Encourage One Another (Hebrews 10:25)
May 13 Love One Another (John 13:34-35)
May 20 Carry One Another’s Burdens (Galatians 6:2-5)
May 27 Teach One Another (Colossians 3:13; Romans 15:14)

Thinking about joining the church family at First Baptist Church of Crystal River? The next New Members Class is Saturday, May 19, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. We would love to have you join our family and join our mission by touching hearts and transforming lives!p

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
