Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

August is a great month to make a new beginning or to start something new. Our students and teachers are starting a new school year. It's time for a new grade, a new class, and even a new school for some. At First Baptist Church it's time to begin the AWANA Ministry once again. The children will have a "Back to School Bash" on August 10th. AWANA Open House is August 17th and the first official AWANA night is August 24th. The AWANA Ministry meets on Wednesday nights for 6:00-7:30 p.m. and closely follws the school schedule.

I want to take this opportunity to say a special "thank-you" to all the adults who volunteer their time each week to make the AWANA Ministry such a success. Let me say a special "thank-you" to Fran Lynn who has graciously accepted the responsibility of AWANA Commander for this year. Fran has over 17 years experience in AWANA and has a heart and passion for this ministry.

There is a place for you in the AWANA Ministry. We need adults who will lead games, teach lessons and listen to Bible verses that the children have memorized. AWANA runs smoother and more lives are touched when we have many adults who work together in this ministry. Your investment in a child will make a differnce for a lifetime.

The AWANA Ministry has four separate clubs based upon the age of the child.

  • Puggles (age 2)

  • Cubbies (ages 3-4)

  • Sparks (grades K-2)

  • T&T (grades 3-5)

These four clubs give you four opportunities to get involved and make a diffeence. If God is leading you to particpate in this ministry, contact Fran Lynn or call the church office.

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
