Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

The brilliant scientist Sir Isaac Newton said that he could take his telescope and look mil-lions and millions of miles into space. Then he added, “But when I lay it aside, go into my room, shut the door, and get down on my knees in earnest prayer, I see more of heaven and feel closer to the Lord than if I were assisted by all the telescopes on earth.”

How would you describe your prayer experience? Do you feel close to God and con-nected with Him? Or do you feel like God must be millions and millions of miles away? Is prayer a daily part of your life? Do you have a time and place and strategy for prayer? When was the last time God answered your prayer?

I’m beginning a new message series on October 9th called “A Battle Strategy For Prayer.” This series on prayer is based upon insights gained from the movie “The War Room” and the book “The Battle Plan for Prayer.” When you pray, you invite God into your circumstances. God then brings all His power and resources to bear on your situation. For that reason, talking with God can change your life.

Almost every Christian claims to believe in the power of prayer. Yet few Christians pray as much as they know they should pray. Why is that? Why is a meeting to pray always the least attended meeting? What are we missing when it comes to prayer?

We’ll find some answers to those questions and many more in this series on prayer. The schedule for October is as follows:

  • October 9 Why Is It So Hard To Pray?

  • October 16 What Should I Believe About Prayer?

  • October 23 What Should I Pray About?

  • October 30 Do My Prayers Make A Difference?

I hope you will make plans to attend this series on prayer. Also, this is a great opportunity to invite a friend to join you and experience this series with you. Become a VIP for God. Invite a friend to join you for church!

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
