Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

August is a great month to make a new beginning or to start something new. Our students and teachers are starting a new school year. It’s time for a new grade, a new class, and even a new school for some. At First Baptist Church, it’s a great time to volunteer for a ministry. I want to take this opportunity to say a special “thank-you” to all the adults who volunteer their time each week to make our church such a great place. Your service and hospitality to people enable our church to reach out to our community and share the love of Jesus Christ.

The fall season is a great time to get started in a ministry. Do you love working with children? The Awana Ministry is a great place to volunteer. Awana meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Do you have a heart for teenagers? The Youth Ministry is a great place to volunteer. Our Youth Ministry also meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Do you love music and want an opportunity to sing? The Choir Ministry is a great place to volunteer. The Choir Ministry practices on Wednesday evenings from 7:15-8:30 p.m. There’s a place for you to serve and make a difference at First Baptist Church.

I’m continuing the summer message series in August called “Heroes and Villains in the Bible.” We will take a look into the lives of five characters known to be heroes and five characters known to be villains. The schedule for August is as follows:

  • August 5 Peter (Acts 2:14-41; John 21:15-23)

  • August 12 Paul (Philippians 1:15-26)

  • August 19 Cain (Genesis 4:1-16)

  • August 26 Saul (1 Samuel 15:1-26)

Join me in asking God to bless us with a great fall season. When we work; we work. When we pray; God works!

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
