Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

The month of October is filled with opportunities. We’re beginning a new message series called “Touching Hearts and Transforming Lives.” The challenge for this series is to under-stand that we have a message to share with the world. God can use each of us to influence oth-ers for Him. We can help people understand the message of Jesus and help people commit their lives to Jesus. The messages this month include the following:

  • September 30 People Matter To God (Luke 15:1-10)

  • October 7 You Are Called For A Mission (Isaiah 6:1-8)

  • October 14 Jesus is Your Friend (Hebrews 4:14-16)

  • October 21 God Has A Purpose For You (Acts 20:22-24)

  • October 28 The Next Step (Hebrews 11:8-16)

We have a Church Picnic scheduled for October 14th at 12:30 p.m. at Bicentennial Park. The church will provide the chicken and drinks. We need everyone to bring a side dish or dessert and your favorite lawn chair. There will be games for the children, an opportunity to meet new friends, and a softball game. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend to church and then introduce them to your church family at the picnic.

We have a fall carnival planned for Saturday, October 27th from noon until 4:00 p.m. The carnival will take place at the church and is called “First Baptist Treats The Town.” We’ll have bounce houses, carnival games, hot dogs, snack foods, and prizes for all. This carnival is spon-sored by our Children’s Ministry but involves our whole church. We need volunteers to run games, distribute food and greet our community guests. This is an opportunity for all of us to work together to touch hearts and transform lives in our community. Signup in the Children’s Ministry to help make this event a great success.

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
