Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

In February I’m beginning a new message series called “Winning Life’s Battles.” We
often perceive our battles and struggles as financial, relational or behavioral. Why do I keep
falling into debt? Why does my relationship with my spouse and family seem so distant? Why
do bad habits keep winning in my life? In reality, many of those struggles are spiritual in nature. We fight spiritual battles every day. The Apostle Paul teaches in Ephesians 6:10-18 that
we need spiritual resources to win the spiritual battles we face in life. We want to examine
Paul’s words and apply them to our own situation so that we can win life’s battles. The message titles in February are as follows:

  • February 4 Keys To Winning Life’s Battles (Ephesians 6:10-18)

  • February 11 The Belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14)

  • February 18 The Breastplate Of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14)

  • February 25 The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace (Ephesians 6:15)

We will celebrate baptism on February 18th during the 11:00 a.m. service. Baptism is a
wonderful way to express your commitment to Christ and desire to follow Him. If you would
like to be baptized or want to know more about baptism, give me a call at the church office
(795-3367). You can join others by being baptized on February 18th.

We will also celebrate a special time of deacon ordination on Sunday, February 18th.
We will meet in the sanctuary at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate the ordination of Doug Lynn and Reilly
Huver. Following the ordination service, we will make our way to Victory Hall for finger foods
and fellowship. Mark your calendars and bring your favorite finger food!

You will find a blue form in your bulletin each week entitled “Taking The Next Step.”
This form gives you an opportunity to request more information about (1) Receiving Christ as
your Savior; (2) Baptism; and (3) Church Membership. The form also lists several ministries
where you can use your gifts and abilities to serve Christ. Check the ministries where you
might like to serve and return the form to the box in the main Welcome Center. The ministry
director will call you and give you an opportunity to learn more about the ministry and where
you can serve.

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
